[Baby] - A little bit of heaven sent down to earth.

On August 30th 2012 the beginning of a new adventure started for Ben and I. Early that morning we found out we are pregnant! We were beyond excited! I couldn't believe we were going to start our little family and couldn't wait to share the news. Ben wanted to tell his family right away that day but I made him promise not to. I wanted to wait and do it in a special sweet way. So a day or two later we had a friend take some pictures of us and developed one and put it in a frame and in a bag. One night we went over to Ben's parents house and gave them the present. They were ecstatic! We were happy to see the excitement on there faces. The next day I couldn't wait to tell my family so I made Ben drive us down to Safford and then home. My family was planning on going up to the mountain that afternoon and I told my mom they needed to wait until we got there because it was important. Of course they waited and we gave them the same kind of present we gave Ben's family. Everyone was happy and surprised and the quick trip was worth it.
The first trimester of my pregnancy was very easy. I did not throw up once. I was nauseous but very grateful I was not sick. My friend Savannah and I found out we were pregnant right about the same time and she would always tell me how sick she was. I felt very lucky to be able to work and not have to lay in bed all day. My first doctors appointment was on October 3rd and my mom surprised me by coming to down to be there with Ben and I. I was so happy to have her there with me. Dr McNeal was so sweet and did a vaginal ultrasound. We got to see the baby move and got pictures. It was such a wonderful experience and made me even more excited for this journey. The next doctors appointment Michelle and Sarah got to go and listen to the babies heartbeat with us for the first time. I fell in love with the sound as soon as i heard it.
The second trimester started and my tummy started to grow. It is so amazing to watch my body change and think about that little baby growing in my belly.  Our next ultrasound was on the 27th of November. This ultrasound announced the gender of our baby. Ben was wanting a little boy first and I secretly was wanting a little girl, but I wasn't about to tell anyone that. I was thinking we would have a boy because my pregnancy had been so easy. My mom and Michelle joined us to the ultrasound and we were all surprised to find out we were having a sweet little baby girl!!!! Ben and my mom were both shocked. I remember Ben asking her to double check! I was beyond excited! We went to dinner to celebrate and let the family know the exciting news. Our sweet baby girl was even going to arrive sooner then we thought. April 30th was what the doctor told us the due date was while we were thinking May 5th. So it was neat to be further along then we thought. Our sweet baby girl is already spoiled since her grandmas bought her shoes and outfits the day we found out what she was. I have started to feel her move and can't wait for Ben to be able to feel her. We look forward to the rest of this journey and to hold our baby girl. (:
